When going on a long road trip on the freeway, where do you set the cruise control?
At the speed limit.
2 to 5 mph/kmph over the limit.
6 to 10 mph/kmph over the limit.
11 to 15 mph/kmph over the limit.
16 or more mph/kmph over the limit.
I never use cruise control.
Various speeds, Can't pick just one.

At the speed limit up to 5 miles over is my usual Cruise Control setting.

I haven't use it much but I could keep the CC as a floor and keep my foot on the gas to keep speed with traffic.

I don't have cruise on any of my current vehicles, but it will be a requirement on my next one.

I always keep my cruise set between 55-60 miles per hour. I am very conservativeative when it comes to my driving.I don't believe in wasting gas because it is a precious thing at this point. I need to stretch my gas as much as possible. THANKS

Within a city/town's limits - 5 mph over the speed limit.
On the open road once outside the city limits - 10 mph over the speed limit.
In any construction zone, school zone or hospital zone - the posted limit.

And YES, I pull over to the right shoulder and slow down for Fire Engines. That's the law in California. I guess they don't have that law in Florida because everytime I have ever seen a Fire Engine going Code 3 down the road over there, those poor firefighters have to dodge traffic and weave around road hogs because no one, and I mean no one, will move out of the way for them. I guess if you just don't ever have a heart attack or your house/car ever catch on fire in Florida, it doesn't really matter. But hey, if I was on vacation over there I would hate to be a victim waiting for those firefighters to reach me in a hurry.

It used to be at the speed limit, but now I slow down and save gas. It doesn't make that much difference in time in the long run.

I put it up on the dashboard where it will stay unless I hit some bad road which causes it to slide and eventually fall off.

After reading information through this website on speed and fuel consumption, I now set the cruise right at the speed limit.
